Why Ad Banners Will Need to Change Their Game

Ad banners are a necessary evil in the online world - they keep the hosting and wage bills of many of my favorite websites paid. Affiliate programs are common place and allow digital surfers to support their usual websites by using their ad banners to give a share of the sale to the website. However, I'm not certain that the promise of lucrative online advertising made years ago during the .com boom still holds up I am of a generation that passively accepts almost any form of advertising and can often blank out the advances of many advertising attempts as simply white noise. As my age group grows up (and earns more money to put into online shopping), the online ad men will have to up their game in order to overwhelm the defenses that World Wide Web users have built up. Often banner ads ruin the look of otherwise stunning websites, serving as a stark reminder that hard times are upon us all no matter the caliber of website. I accept that ad banners exist, I even use them sometimes but I would much rather surf the web without them.Other Sources: nytimes.com | microsofttranslator.com | info.com | tagged.com
