There is a possibility of having benefits while seeking for a job

posted on 11 December 2012

When the government is aware of the fact that you are seeking for employment and you have papers to support your qualification, they give a priority. You have access to the benefits of jsa allowances, which they normally refer to as unemployment benefits. These benefits are meant to cover for all of your expenses in between the period when you will be seeking for a job up to the time when you will secure yourself a good job. These benefits are meant to help you in your day to day needs, but you have to prove that you are actively seeking for an employment if you have to benefit from the job seekers allowances. Keep in mind that this is only for a short period of time it does not last for long. You will have to get yourself a good job that will sustain you for a longer time compared to the allowances, because they are normally given with age. The department for work and pensions gives you these allowances up to the time that you will secure yourself a good job that is almost permanent so that the portion of the money you were getting will help somebody else that is not employed.

How Group Studying with a Studious Friend Benefits

posted on 22 November 2012

My exams were 3 weeks away and there were something's which me and my friends confused about, hence we planned for a group study session at Sara's place. Sara was a good at studies especially at anatomy. We chose to study at Sara's place also because here she won't let us chat and gossip while studies. I and Zahra went to Sara's place at 10 am she was up and already gone through the chapter which she will be explaining to us. We started off with studies right away, without wasting a second. Sara explained the skull really well. She had all the names of bones learnt by heart. And she also made us learn very quickly, she told us the ways of learning the names of bones and joints. We moved to physiology and biochemistry important topics for viva. Neurology turned out to be the bugging one. We took a break for lunch, and her brother, business student, told us about his new teacher who was explained him the chapter 'your rights consumer' a lively chat with her brother unsaturated our mind and gave us a fresh start to the second session of out study.

Secure your self and your money from fraudsters

posted on 12 October 2012

Fraud cases are becoming more and more popular by the day this is because of the rising technological advancements in the internet field, making it almost impossible for people to operate their own websites. What is creating complications is the rising crime of online fraudsters who want to exploit online customers from all available operating websites. A good example of a website which has been dealing with fraud crimes for long time now is the dhss benefit fraud website. This has led to the creation of a dhss benefits fraud account that you sign in to so that you can protect yourself from falling under their prey. There is also an available helpline which is meant to help you contact your services immediately you suspect a fraud case. This has helped in the reduction of such cases, but still the company owning the website is insisting on people taking measures before they fall under the same trap. Many fraud cases are being dealt with in court, making it easier to trap those who are still practicing such illegal acts.

Your health insurance matters a lot

posted on 9 October 2012

Have you ever thought that applying for insurance is a benefit? If not it is time you fix your thoughts to getting yourself a health insurance card. This will be very beneficial not only for you but also for your loved ones. When one thinks of benefitsagency insurance benefits, they tend to think of how much money they will be using in order to benefit from the card. It is not always going to be all about the money you are using but how much you are saving when you have an insured health card with you. There are benefits which come with obtaining a health insurance card, first of all you will have the freedom to visit the hospital you have been insured with anytime you get sick, and your card will cater for all the medical bills. You can also use your card to help those in your family who are sick, and it will all be under the insurance card. Health issues tend to use a lot of money, because all the time you have to buy medicine and take care of those who are ill at home. But if you have a health insurance card, you have all those expenses catered for as you pay in installments. It is cheaper with an insurance card compared to when you do not have one.

The Last Thing You Need Is To Worry About The Cost Of A Funeral

posted on 27 September 2012

When someone dies who is close to you in your life, it is one of the worst feelings a human can go through.  If you have not experienced it, then it can't be explained until you go through it yourself.  It is soul- destroying and so painful that nothing can make you feel any better, only time.  Some people not only have the trauma of going through loosing their loved one, they also worry if they will have enough to give a good send-off for deceased.  There are death grants available but not to everyone who applies.  It is worth going to your local benefit or even checking online to see if you come under the requirements of being able to apply.  If someone you know is worrying about how they are going to meet the cots of a funeral and are struggling, you may want to let them know that they maybe entitled to some help to take the pressure from them at such an awful time.

Let's Fix the Way that Office Life is Lead

posted on 13 August 2012

If you're like me, you work in an office and spend the whole day watching that clock and wondering when the day will end. Sometimes those minutes can just seem like many hours, am I right? What can we do to fix this? The boredom, the office politics, the inefficient management getting in the way of your job, sometimes life seems like a Dilbert cartoon. I love that HR cat. It's funny because it's true. I have a plan. What if, instead of outdated and inefficient corporate policy, the managers were replaced by software to monitor our working habits and then we could watch and encourage each other. The old hierarchical system could be replaced by a social system of peer monitoring. Kind of like reddit, except for coworkers. Of course this system could be gamed, just like the old one, but instead of paying level after un-useful level between ourselves and the big bosses, there could just be one. Our level. Everyone would be their own boss and everyone else's. And they could be paid according to their approval level! Thank me when you're rich! Unemployment benefits and temporary workers in many states

posted on 6 August 2012

Job security is very important. People who have job security are even in a position to start a family. This is because they are sure that they can provide for their family well. They can pay for the health insurance, they can provide good nutrition, they can also provide good housing and a sense of security to the kids. This is not the case with those people who do not have job security. These are the people who are working in very temporary situations. They even have to file for unemployment benefits the time that they are not working. At times many of these temporary workers ask if the can still get unemployment benefits temporary work. I think the right thing to do would be to inform the unemployment agency that they have gotten a temporary job for maybe two days and they should also indicate how much they are getting paid. They will probably get the benefits at the end of the day because they have not yet gotten a permanent job yet.More on this Topic: digg.com | infoplease.com

Recent College Graduate's Experience On LinkedIn

posted on 26 July 2012

In my experience, LinkedIn did not help me make connections, but did serve as an organized, efficient, way I could outline my qualifications for future employers. Moreover, I feel confident I could locate ANY kind of professional in all kinds of fields via this network - from someone specialising in eu procurement directives to graphic designers to programmers to photographers. However, initially I did not really need LinkedIn to make connections because I was networking through alumni at my university. I did use LinkedIn to write down my accomplishments in writing, academics, and work experience. I have an interesting history and have worked in finance and writing, so it was hard to sort between the two until I used LinkedIn. Now that I've got a list of good professional contacts via this network, I feel that a lot more is now possible because I can call upon their expertise very easily.Other Sources: tagged.com | publicrecords.com | www.fpaconsulting.co.ukMore Info: businessinsider.comMore on this Topic: archive.org | huffingtonpost.com | edmunds.comFurther Research: docstoc.com | expedia.comFurther Research: docstoc.com | homedepot.comMore Info: nascar.comMore on this Topic: cracked.com | webmd.com | shopzilla.com

The Cost of Dressing Casually

posted on 17 May 2012

After graduating from college in 2010, I accepted a temporary position as a staff accountant at an insurance agency. The hourly pay was unimpressive I was offered $12.00 an hour with a chance of being promoted after three months. I worked on the twelfth floor, which housed the company’s regional accounting department. I was told that the dress code was business casual, and I was encouraged to dress conservatively. However, the dress code was relaxed each Friday so that employees could wear jeans to work if they contributed one dollar to the company’s “Events Jar,” which was used to pay for birthday cakes for the staff. Of course, almost everyone at the office wore jeans each Friday. However, I found the idea of having to pay money to dress comfortably at a low paying job where employees never interacted with clients to be ridiculous. More importantly, I found the concept of having employees finance company events out of their own pocket to be abusive. Some of the bosses needed a reality check - something like a leadership development program to re-centre them and get them back on the right track. Life at the office could easily be improved by allowing employees to dress comfortably free of charge and by having the company foot the bill for office parties.Further Research: uncoverthenet.com | expedia.com

Fliers, Radio, TV and Newspaper: Reach your Local Audience

posted on 16 May 2012

One way to advertise a business is to send out fliers in the mail. Perhaps you could offer coupons to help bring in new business. That always gets my attention! I love saving money! If you want to save money on postage, you could copy the fliers and spend some time putting them on cars underneath the windshield wipers. This could be more effective if you target parking lots that are close to your business or that are close to the parking lots of your competitors. Also look at other forms of printed advertising - from jewellery packaging to carrier bags. Another way to market your business would be to use radio ads on the local radio stations. You could target radio stations with an audience similar to the one that you are trying to attract. For example, if you have a Christian bookstore that you are marketing, play commercials on the local Christian music stations. Newspaper and local TV ads are another way to go.More on this Topic: cracked.com | webmd.com | nationalgeographic.com

Magnetabilities Jewelry in Time for the Holidays!

posted on 12 May 2012

I like to buy friends and family unique gifts - from personalised usb sticks to tickets to the theatre. I don't always have unique ideas, but I do try to come up with them. One thing that I thought of this year is a magnetabilities necklace for my niece. It is a rope-type necklace that has a pendant hanging from it. On the pendant is a magnet that can be interchangeable. When you change your outfit you can also change out your magnet so that it looks like you're wearing a different necklace. There are many different magnet choices, and they are inexpensive. I feel that this is a unique gift that she will enjoy for many years to come. There are also bracelets to choose from, but I thought that the necklace would be favored by her more. She could always add to her collection, though, once she received the gift. It would be neat to see them together.Other Sources: tagged.com | publicrecords.com | bloomberg.com | cracked.com

Some Tips on Keeping a Tight Control of Your Purse Strings

posted on 8 May 2012

Many of us struggle to control our finances and from time to time may wonder how we could improve our own situations, gaining a tighter grasp of the purse strings. Short of holding up a liquor store in a ski mask or living off the food in dumpsters, what is the best way to ensure that you always have enough money to go around? There are a few possible alternatives that can be very effective, and that I have found useful: • Drawing up clear and realistic budgets for each month – this is the best way to figure out how much of the money in your bank is ‘yours’, and what you can afford to spend. • Avoid excesses – many people live in their overdraft month to month, not through necessity or a lack of cash flow, but due to the excessive consumerist lifestyles they need. Ask yourself what you really need, is the purchase necessary? • Seek personal financial management advice from experts. • With respect to work, lunches can be a costly affair, by making pre prepared meals rather than buying one each day, huge savings can be made.

Who determines the success or failure of a business

posted on 14 April 2012

The people who wield the greatest power in any form of business are the consumers. The present day consumer cannot be compared to the consumer of the 1900s. This mainly because in the past consumers did not have a choice of the product and or services that they were offered unlike the present day consumer who is very knowledgeable about his or her right as a consumer. The present day consumer can determine whether a business can fold up or grow. They hold the success of the business in their hands and this is something that present day businesses are painfully aware off. They therefore have to adapt to the changes that have taken place over the years with increased awareness of consumer rights. A consumer can now return product to the store expecting a full refund for what they paid for the product or expect the product to be serviced at the expense of the business. Businesses do not like what will increase their operating coast as it will cut into its profit and so they now ensure quality of product.

Cut Expenses by Creating a Budget-Frame

posted on 12 April 2012

Usually, the first thing I do when I want to stay within budget, and maybe save, is to try to sum all my expenses during a period of one month. This includes credit card expenses (go back and make an average of your last 3 months, for example), and making a list of all other expenses I know of, as rent, electricity, water, fuel, taxes, restaurants, coffee, and alike. This gives me a rough estimate of how much money I spend each month. Now, the next step is to take my salary (again, I try to make an average, based on the last 3 months, or so), and deduce the expenses from it. This gives me a budget-frame I can either use immediately during each month, or try and save most of it or put some away in a family sipp or similar investment. I think that keeping this budget-frame wherever you go, may lead you to think twice before you take that money out of your wallet or credit card making you aware of your expense boundaries.

My Experience with Linkedin: Why It Never Worked Out

posted on 4 April 2012

I'm an 18 year old university student, and last year sometime I signed up for Linkedin. At first I thought it would be a good way to create a professional profile of myself, and form connections that may be very valuable when I start working full-time. Indeed, a search for graphic design nottingham on LinkedIn yielded a number of companies in my vicinity I could potentially work for. After signing up and filling out my profile with a photo and any relevant information, there wasn't much for me to do from there apart from find other people I know that are using Linkedin. At this stage I found two or three people, here was where it started getting difficult. From what I remember, in order to connect with some people I needed to be 'introduced' to them. This was frustrating for me, because I really didn't have very many connections, and I didn't have anyone to introduce me to people. I found that because I wasn't working, and wasn't apart of any organisations, I had a really hard time 'getting-the-ball-rolling' with my connections. So I stopped visiting Linkedin, only occasionally checking some 'updates' that I kept receiving from them (which I found quite annoying). Eventually I decided I would try to remove some of my data from the internet, as it had accumulated over time. So when thinking of websites which I was registered to, that I no longer used - Linkedin was probably the first thing in my mind. I removed my account indefinitely, and have not visited the website since. I find that it is far more valuable for me to use websites such as Google+, to network with people. I already have networked with over 550 people, and haven't had G+ for a very long time at all. I realise that the purpose of Linkedin is not as a social network... so much. More of a professional network. Which is probably why it never appealed to me as a student without a professional life! Regardless of this, I am still always open to using Linkedin, in future. Perhaps when I start to establish my career, I will find myself drawn back toward Linkedin. Until then, it has been a poor experience for a student like myself.

On Doing Business Without the Use of the Internet

posted on 16 March 2012

Everybody nowadays believes in the use of internet whenever he/she wants to start a business. They believe it's the only way people can get to know about their business better. However, if you really think about it further, you see there are ways to do business without using internet to advertise. One may choose to advertise his/her goods by visiting different environments to advertise, and it does really pay because people will get to know much more about the business hearing it directly from the business owner. From ad vans to holding experiential events, there's a number of ways to more directly engage with your target market. One may also choose to inform their friends about their business and the friends tell people about it too - otherwise known as word of mouth marketing. So don't forget the more traditionaly ways of marketing. I strongly believe these ways can also help.Other Sources: csmonitor.com

Scouting for Homey and Lovely Grayson county real estate

posted on 23 February 2012

I went for a business trip in Sherman a couple of weeks ago and when one of our clients drove us around I was pleasantly surprised to see the appeal of Grayson county real estate that’s why I immediately told my husband about it. We have been looking for a good place to retire as we are not really fond of living in the city. We are just staying here out of necessity but if we have our way we would rather live someplace else where there is a balance of city and peaceful life. Because of my stories, my husband was also excited to see the place so we are driving there this weekend to check things out. I really love how my husband and I talk about things because even though we have been married for more than a decade now we have yet to engage in a fight considering that we are both level-headed individuals I am really fortunate to have married my husband.

How I Make it to the End of Each Month

posted on 8 February 2012

Money: it seems to fly out the window. With 2 kids and me not working because of fibromyalgia (a painful syndrome), it's hard to keep insolvency at bay. We have to make do with one paycheck. That is not easy but we try, and I think that for the kids clothing you can save a lot of money when you look at the internet. We take showers instead of a bath, and when we are not at home we turn off the radiator. I am lucky that my children don't grow out of their clothes every two months. We eat most of our dinners at my father's place, and that saves in the foodcost. We hardly ever go to a pub or bar, e make it cosy at home. I try not give out what you don't have, but it isn't easy and I am happy when all the bills are paid every month again.

I am in need of some creative ideas in order to earn my living.

posted on 2 February 2012

I lost my job three years ago when our country experienced an economic recession. Since then I have never been lucky to get another employment. So many people that lost their jobs with me have sought alternative means of earning a living, by either starting up their own businesses or utilizing their talents to earn a living, but I am still depending on government's unemployment benefits for survival. I do not think I am all that creative, maybe because I have never tried anything, but I am currently thinking of trying out some arts in order to supplement the little I am getting as benefits. Everyday I pray to God for an unemployment benefits extension period because I have no idea what I would do without these benefits. I have a family of three and they are all depending on the benefits I get for survival. Maybe I will be able to get a job soon, since the government is creating some vacancies in our industries, but I still need a business idea in order to do something for my family.
